Bio: Blanca Rodríguez-Bravo

Prof. Dr. Rodríguez-Bravo is currently Professor of Library and Information Science at the University of Leon, where she is head of the Archive, Library and Distance Learning Unit. She is chair of the ARBIDOC Group at her university and a member of CIBER, research center led by David Nicholas. She conducts research on scholar communication, knowledge organization, collections development and usage of electronic journals. She teaches courses on authority control, knowledge organization and scientific communication.

She is the author of 4 monographs and coordinator of another 2. In addition, she has published more than 100 papers in international and national journals and proceedings besides some book’s chapters. She has been head of 12 research projects and has participated in another 6. She is a member of 3 international publication committees. She was a scientific advisor for 2 doctoral dissertations in the domain of Library and Information Science.

Currently she is head of the project: “Performance analysis of electronic journals investment through their impact in the scientific production of universities. The Library Consortia case study,” funded by Ministery of Economy and Competitivity (Spain) (2018-2020).- Reference: CSO2017-87956-R
